According to researches, that vitamins A and E, and beta-carotene may increase mortality risk by up to 16 per cent.  Also two researches that were actualized in USA and Finland reported that the combination of beta-carotene and vitamin E or retinyl palmitate or beta-carotene alone increase the risk of lung cancer by 36 and 16 per cent, respectively, compared to placebo. Another research reported that selenium, vitamin C and E do not have effect against prostate cancer.

The research are continued. In FoodyLife’s opinion daily intake dose is important. Everybody should consider that the most beneficial food can be harmful when consumed excessive.
