Nanotech Omega-3 In Beverages

Omega-3 fatty acids are unsaturated fatty acids and essential for human body. Omega-3 has to be obtained from foods and it has a big role in human diet. α-linoleic acid, Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are examples of omega-3 fatty acids. As other fatty acids, omega-3 fatty acids are also insoluble in water.

A Californian bio-tech firm, Virun products water soluble, shelf stable omega-3 by using nanotechnology.  For the first step, the aim of the nanotech omega-3 is using shelf-stable beverages and waters and the shelf life of the nanotech omega-3 two years.

According to researches functional beverages that include nanotech omega-3, is cheaper than its direct consume.
