Functional Beverage: Omega Coffee

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential fatty acids that body can not synthesise. The natural source of the omega-3 fatty acids are fishes, dark green vegetables and walnut.

Recent studies have showed that omega-3 fatty acids (α-linolenic acid, Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)) have beneficial effects on health  by preventing diseases such as cancer, diabet,  cardiovascular disease by improving brain development and body resistance.

Manufacturers have been produce many functional foods which are rich in omega-3. The new one is omega rich coffee. GR Nutriceutical Company, which is from Canada, is the manufacturer of the product. According to company, the new functional coffee is very good source of omega-3 and also can be used in different forms such as cappuccinos, lattes and espresso. In addition to its beneficial effects, omega coffee has almost same price with regular coffee.
