The conference is organised in Madrid city of the Spain and sponsored by United Nations. The topic of the conference is “Food Crisis in the World”
The conference has started today and ministries and authorities joined from over 100 country. Foreign affairs minister of Spain, Miguel Angel, made opening statement, and said ”Due to increased of food prices with global economical crisis 2008, food crisis got difficult”
Tomorrow, general secretary of UN, Ban Ki-moon, and Spain president, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, are going to close conference.
Attendants are going to evaluate if they achieve the aims determined during July food coference in 2008, in Roma.
According to UN reports, more than 960 million people fed wrong and everyday more than 100 people die due to related reasons of hunger. At the end of the conference, a announcement called Madrid declaration will be issued.
