Posted by: admin In: Food News| Food Safety and Hygiene
The laboratory was opened by laboratory group Eurofins in Suzhou. It is recognised to Chinee’s first food-testing laboratory which reaches the international standards for pesticide screenings, melamine and heavy metal testing and microbiological analyses.

Eurofins claim that imported products from China can be analysed deeply and will be in European standards. Eurofins also control the service chains of its customers, mostly Europe, the USA and Japan, by sampling, auditing and inspecting.
The laboratory group will continue to invest in China to extend the laboratory’s capabilities.
According to Eurofins, systems including chemical and DNA fingerprinting are used to control and traceability of food products such as olive oil. The laboratory claims that nuts and dried fruits from Turkey are tested by Eurofins prior to shipment to the EU and sealed containers are shipped only after ‘positive release’.
