Milk is perfect nutrient for people with its rich nutritional value. Milk consists of many nutrients itself. It includes lactose (milk sugar), fat, protein, minerals, vitamins and many of them only exist in milk.
Due to its this properties, milk is the one of the most important nutrient that people in every age should consume it. Healthy societies consume more milk. While a person in developing countries consume annually 20 kg , a person in developed countries consume 70-100 kg per year. But in some countries milk products such as cheese and yogurt are consumed more than milk.
Milk is also very good medium for microorganisms to grow. It easily spoil in unfavorable conditions. So it is very important to provide milk hygiene till consume it.
To emphasize the importance of the milk and increase the milk consumption, 21 May is celebrated as World Milk Day every year.
