Usage Areas Of PHB (Bioplastic)

It is reported that PHB are used in industry easily due to its biodegradable, biological adaptation and non-toxic properties. PHB is used mostly as packing material because it is waxy and degradable. But its biological adaptation property makes it to be used as implantation material.

The usage areas of biodegradable plastics in food, medicine, pharmacy and agriculture are below;

  • Package films, pochette, bags, food trays and cases.
  • Shampoo and beverage bottles, inner layers of milk cartoon bottles.
  • Drugs, insecticides, herbicides and fertilisers.
  • Disposable blades, forks, knives and plates. Diapers.
  • Clamps, gloves, mask and coveralls.
  • Bone change.
  • Compression bandage.
  • Blood vessel change.
  • Cover of plant leaf and irrigation pipe.
  • Bone treatment.
  • For fresh fish, cheese, meat and meat products, dried foods, seeds,bakery products, chips and confectionery against humidity, oxygene and aroma lost.
