The name of the miracle is soybean…
People from Far East and Asia have consumed it for centenaries. Now, it is known in all around the world. There are admissible reasons to prefer soy. You can consume soy in different forms; soybean, soybean oil, soy fiber, soy milk, soy sauce, soy bud, soy flour etc. . All the meals which are cooked with soy are very delicious. Also, we can call it “pharmacy”.

Let’s see its advantages together;
- Soy proteins reduces the cancer risk.
- Soy proteins prevent cardiac disease.
- Due to soy proteins have meat proteins’ quality, vegans can choose it inner peace.
- It is a good source of iron, calcium, phosphor, vitamins A, B, D, E and antioxidants.
- It activates digestive system and prevents constipation.
- It provides energy and eliminates fatigue.
- It balances sugar ratio in the blood and prevents diabetes.
- It reduces the risk of breast cancer, uterine cancer and neck cancer by reducing the effect of the estrogen.
- It prevents prostate’s grow.
- It reduces “bad” cholesterol ratio in the blood.
- It is a good source of unsaturated fat free from trans fat and free fatty acids.
- It includes low carbohydrate and suitable for diets.
Although soy has lots of advantages, it has also some disadvantages and people should be aware of them.
Some disadvantages of the soy are;
- The popular fear that soybeans might cause reduced libido and even feminine characteristics in men has not been indicated by any study; the popularity of the notion seems to be based on the simplistic misapprehension and testosterone have a simple, inverse relationship in sexual hormone systems and sex-related behaviour.
- Soy has been in place in allergen list and people should be aware of if they are allergic to soy and allergic people must not eat soy.
- Raw soy flour is known to cause pancreatic cancer in rats. Whether this is also true in humans is unknown because no studies comparing cases of pancreatic cancer and soy intake in humans have yet been conducted, and the doses used to induce pancreatic cancer in rats are said to be larger than humans would normally consume. Heated soy flour may not be carcinogenic in rats.
- Existing cancer patients are being warned to avoid foods rich in soy because they can accelerate the growth of tumours
