Arkansas Ground Beef Products Are Recalled Due To Possible E. Coli O157:H7 Contamination

U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that Bob’s Food City, a Hot Springs, Ark., retailer is recalling  approximately 375 pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7.

E. coli O157:H7 is a pathogen and pothentially deadly bacterium that cause bloody diarrhea, dehydration, and in the most severe cases, kidney failure.

The problem was determined by FSIS but no illness has been reported yet.
